We are excited to offer three extended sessions:
Making Math Meaningful
From foundational concepts to challenging your highest level thinkers, we will address what it looks like to make math meaningful for all learners in your classroom. This hands-on session will empower you, the classroom teacher, with strategies and materials that you can utilize across the four mathematical strands. We will also explore exciting ways to enhance your instruction through the use of technology, whether you are a single device classroom or a 1:1 school. The target audience for this session is teachers of Kindergarten - 6th grade students.

Worksheets Need to Get a Life!
This session will take an honest look at the use of worksheets in the elementary classroom. Let’s explore ways to bring worksheets to life through engaging, collaborative skills practice- rather than silent seatwork! Strategies presented will be adaptable for reading, math, science, and social studies content. The target audience for this session is teachers of 3rd - 6th grade students.

Understanding and Implementing OASS
Effective science instruction involves the art of weaving disciplinary core ideas, science and engineering practices, and cross cutting concepts to engage students with rigorous, real world phenomenon. In this session you will lean how to interpret the OASS science standards and to start implementing them in your classroom. Participants are asked to bring a copy of the new standards and a lesson to align. The target audience for this session is middle and high school science teachers.
